Coco Pinchard Big Fat Tipsy Wedding Coco Pinchard Series Book 2 edition by Robert Bryndza Literature Fiction eBooks

I like mystery, romances that have a different story. Coco writes popular books. She is divorced and has one son. She also has a man she loves and wants to move in with her. But nothing goes right. He suddenly tells her he can't move in. All through this book is the mystery of the missing money. The humor is very British. The story is a page turner. All is well in the end but the trail to the end is frustration and test of CoCo's love.

Coco Pinchard Big Fat Tipsy Wedding Coco Pinchard Series Book 2 edition by Robert Bryndza Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I find books that use emails strung together tiresome, but this book is hilarious. Coco is just thinking her life is perfect and things will move to the next level with hottie Adam when she is dumped. She still has her new book coming out but she can't let Adam go. She bribes his daughter 100 pounds to get his new address. She finds he was charged with theft of 200,000 pounds. She rents her posh house out to raise the money and moves in with Marishka who lived with her until she got on her feet for free. She pays half the rent but can't stand being cooped up in such a small space with her boyfriend eating all their food and then Adam proposes in a romantic gesture on Valentines day. She twitters her engagement and the word gets out that Adam is charged with a felony. No book release...no money! Then Adam gets convicted by the conniving testimony of a co-worker of Adams. Coco gets depressed and then her ex-mother-in-law gets her up and going again. She is fabulous character.

The supporting characters make this book. She has to sell her car and lives in an apartment she gets the day the poor lady dies but at least it has all expenses paid. She can't afford the life she had and her roots show and the stress ages her, but Coco doesn't give up and goes all Jessica Fletcher on the blonde. This author comes up with such funny supporting characters and the fast pace of the book leaves you laughing and pulling for a happily ever after.
I would have given this story a five star rating without a second thought if only it had been edited better but I really get very annoyed by authors who don't clean up their manuscripts of mistakes before they publish them and that doesn't mean just running it through a spellcheck since that won't catch grammatical errors!

Now that I've got that off my chest, I just want to say that I loved everything else (except the smoking!!) about this second book, which is definitely a worthy successor to "The Not So Secret Emails of Coco Pinchard!" It is a terrific story with a great plot, wonderful characters, many of whom are old friends from the first book who you will get to know better and you will also be introduced to some fantastic new people who will fit right in. As before, both the imagery and the dialogues are outstanding; they really make these books a cut above typical chick lit.

I have hundreds of books waiting for me to read them in my library, but I'm going to buy the next book in this series as soon as I hit the "submit" button on this review because I'm enjoying reading these stories so much. So, that's why I'm recommending that if you like this genre (and you must or you wouldn't be in this section reading this), then you should definitely get this story. Only, if you haven't read the first book, don't read them out of order. Happy Reading! ❤️
I feel the same about all of Rob Bryndza's Coco series - I adore his writing, and read every one of the 'Coco's' one right after the other. His characters are so appealing, warm, and charming that they become your friends. There's something about a born-writer's style that's elusive and difficult to pin down. Either a writer has the ability to create an atmosphere the reader wants to stay in, or they don't. Rob Bryndza's talent is immense and genuine. I'd love to read more Coco, or, any other character Rob chooses to write. I know about his murder/mystery series, and I know he has a large following of those who love that work, but I read at night and I'm a 'frady cat. Maybe I'll start reading a chapter a day of his murder series while it's still light out! Thanks Rob for such wonderful, pleasant and beautiful stories. More, please, more.
I expected to read this book and rave that it was "simply adorable!" Now having finished it, I can confirm that yes, it was adorable. Every character was developed to perfection and added heart and realness to the story (from the ever-present pup Rocco to the bitter-turned-softhearted ex-mother-in-law Ethel). There's a roommate who prefers a turban and housecoat to a shirt and pants (and yep, it's a he), parties decorated with doggy-doo bags (for their obvious ambience), and a spy mission involving stuffing a potato in an exhaust pipe (move over, MacGyver).

But "simple", this book was not. The story went deep, exploring the complexity of relationships (between family, friends, exes and spouses) and the good, bad, and ugly realities that come along with matters of the heart. I had no shortage of "Oh I hope they get together!" and "She should just leave him!" and "Ugh, I wish that witch would just disappear!" moments while reading. Who knew I'd experience such strong emotions from a "light, fun" read?

The author does not shy away from nor sugarcoat the truth, and the truth is that sometimes life sucks. Jobs, possessions, friendships, opportunities, confidence, freedom, sanity... all of these can be lost without warning and without sympathy. But what isn't as easily lost are the ties that bind us to people we love, people we love-to-hate, and people we need to believe in us even when we don't feel deserving of it.

Coco and her ensemble of characters made me laugh out loud often, reflect earnestly on the hand of fate in our lives, and ultimately believe in the capacity of love, patience and hope to help determine that fate. I highly recommend it!
