This is the first book of Chrissy Fanslau that I have ever read and although at the first the writing seemed basic and somewhat childish, the writing did improve as the story went on.

Without giving away anything away, 'Life with Jesse Daniels' tells the story of Anna, a teenage girl with an extremely annoying twin, who is dating her best friend's brother. Her best friend, Jesse, and her run into a lot of problems caused by not just Anna's sister or Jesse's brother, but also other typical teenage complications.

What is surprising is that the story seems to take a dark turn and whilst one might expect the story to get happier the author just takes you on an emotional rollercoaster instead filled with surprises.

I would recommend this book to any teenager looking for a quick and easy contemporary romance.
